Biography

King H 509, born Liautaud H Philogène, is a Haitian artist whose love for music began in childhood. He started writing songs at just 9 years old, using songwriting as a form of healing after the loss of his father.

The turning point came in 2011, when he joined a Haitian club at the University of Ottawa, giving him regular stage opportunities and strengthening his artistic drive. In May 2017, he officially launched his music career and released his first EP in October of the same year to test the market.

Over six years, King H 509 has recorded more than 30 tracks, including two EPs, one solo album, and several collaborations. His track “Millions” has surpassed 50,000 views on YouTube, marking his presence in the Haitian urban scene. His latest release, “Bebe”, is a heartfelt dedication to his wife.

Musically, King H 509 moves between Trap Konpa, Afrobeat, and elements of hard hip-hop, while maintaining a melodic and emotional signature. His influences include Drake, Kalash, and Baky.

Beyond music, he works as a community agent and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a minor in sociology — a background that enriches the depth and authenticity of his artistic voice.
